imageLike this!BeautyJorjaJorja FoxDone.buildinggsr: lol breathtakingwomen: Jorja Fox at the 25th Annual EMA Awards, Burbank (24 October, 2015) addictedtostorytelling: csiaw day 3: favorite character: sara sidle so there’s this girl who says she’s fine, when really she’s anything but. she’s smart and driven and good at her job, but she’s also rough around the edges. her house is a mess. she can’t cook. she doesn’t know who beyoncé is. and don’t tell anyone, but sometimes she does math for fun and reads textbooks in her spare time. she doesn’t have the best social skills. she can be a little bit abrasive, a little bit awkward. she’s a full-grown adult, but she can act as surly as a teenager when the mood strikes her. she loses her composure at the slightest provocation, never sleeps, flies off the handle when things make her angry—and things tend to make her angry pretty often. she says she’s fine, but she’s got a secret. she carries it around inside of her, and it eats her up. see her parents—well, she tries not to talk about them. she tries not to talk about the fights and the screaming that went on in her house, how she hid herself away with her books pretending not to hear it, even though she did hear it, even though it was impossible not to hear it when the fights and the screaming got so intensely loud.  she tries not to talk about the night when the policemen came and took away her mother in a squad car and her father’s body in a coroner’s van. she tries not to talk about where she went afterward, to the foster homes and social services meetings and court hearing after hearing. she tries not to talk about being a ward of the state, about having a case worker for her legal guardian. she tries not to talk about how she was one of the unlucky ones who eventually aged out of the system. if you ask her, she won’t say; she just carries it around inside her, smoldering like ashes. she swears that she’s fine, but she’s not. sometimes you see it in her—the sadness and the anger. you see how it scares her: the idea that maybe the violence that was in her home is also in her blood, burning like a flame. that’s why she works as hard as she does doing what it is that she does. she solves crime after crime after crime and tries so hard to be good. and she swears up and down that she’s fine— but that’s why she never gives up, why she’s so stubborn when it comes to her cases, why she obsessively chases rabbits, like alice falling down the hole—curioser and curioser. that’s why she won’t let things go, not even when her friends tell her to drop it. sometimes they tell her to let them drop, but she won’t have it. she’s so incredibly loyal and dogged, so relentless and driven. she swears that she’s fine, but the thing is— the secret she carries and the fire inside her make her brave and passionate and intense in the best kind of way. when she picks up a lead, she runs—no, sprints—with it. she’s the exact kind of person you want on your side because when she’s with you, she’s with you 100%. if you give her a chance, she will show you the best parts of her brain and her heart. and she’s kind of a genius in both ways: in the early enrollment at harvard, theoretical physics major, solving the case way, but also in the way of “this shouldn’t have happened to you. but, i promise i will find out who did this. i promise,” “i came here for you,” “i love you. i always will,” “the only thing he had that you don’t is you,” “everything that happens to us—good and bad—is a part of us. it took me a long time to realize that it doesn’t have to define who we are. we get to decide.” so she says she’s fine, even when some people might think she needs rescuing, but— she saved herself in every way it’s possible for a person to be saved, and she’ll save you, too, if you’re ever in need. her love can be messy and in-your-face and worn right on her sleeve, but it’s good, and it’s deep, and it’s fierce. she never, ever gives up. she says that she’s fine, but she’s better than fine and always has been.  the truth is that she’s amazing. csivegas: #CSIFinale #CSI Sara Sidlefilmographys: Mona Lisa Smile (2003) This movie <3captainswansource: And you will always find me… x onceabc:Snow’s weapon of choice: frying pan. #OnceUponATime This is main reason Snow is bae13.098.04
